'A Day in the Pride' with Pride Guide Cristina

    

Hi! I'm Cristina Vintimilla, and I'm a junior at Hofstra University. I am majoring in Journalism, and I have three minors: Business and Design, Global Studies, and Spanish. I keep myself busy during the school year with a fashion internship in New York City, going to class, working on campus and hanging out with friends! On October 27, 2015 our Hofstra family showed the world what a a typical day is like as a member of the Pride. Here's a sneak peak of my typical day on campus from A Day in the Pride. Enjoy! 

9:00 a.m. 

Heading to my first class of the day: Spanish In The Media. We're currently in the midst of fall, and campus looks beautiful with yellow and orange leaves all over our green quads.

11:00 a.m.

After my morning class, I head into the Office of Admission. This is where I work as a Pride Guide, talking to you guys (prospective students) and answering any questions you might have. 

1:00 pm

I had to make a quick stop at Cafe On The Quad for my favorite drink, Passion Tea lemonade. 

2:30 p.m. 

Ready for my Media and the Law class. I shouldn't play favorites but this is where most of my classes are held, and I am in love with this building. If you ever find yourself on campus, be sure to check out our TV studios and the News Hub.  

4:00 p.m. 

 I had a short break in between classes so I headed over to Axinn Library to get some studying done for my midterms. 

4:30 p.m. 

I couldn't resist taking a picture of this Hofstra cat. I seem to always whip out my iPhone camera every time I see one. 

5:00 p.m. 

Homemade empanadas were being served in the Student Center on this day. They were delicious, of course. I made my friend try some and he agreed. 

5:30 p.m. 

I headed to my last class of the day at 5:30 p.m. in the Frank G. Zarb School of Business. I love the fact that there's a cafe inside this building. No need to walk too far for a cup of coffee or a quick snack!
