True Life: I'm an RA

Justin Chesney is a Junior from Bangor, PA majoring in Drama and minoring in Radio, Television and Film. He is currently a Resident Assistant in one of our first-year residential halls.

When I applied to become an RA I was in my first year at Hofstra. I started working as an RA spring semester of Sophomore year in Stuyvesant Hall and will be continuing to work there in the year to come. One of the weirdest things that you have to get used to as an RA is that you live in a fish bowl; everyone is always watching, your residents especially. What makes the long nights worth it though are the smiles you get from residents that are thankful for everything that you do. :)
