"I felt welcome the moment I stepped on Hofstra’s campus. They really stood out that way. It felt like a good fit. Since transferring to Hofstra in the spring of 2017, I’ve taken great classes and met a lot of cool people. I’m now a mentor in Hofstra’s Transfer Peer Mentor Program. It means a lot to be able to help people who went through a similar experience to my own. If I can help someone even just a little, it’s very rewarding. One piece of advice I have for students who transfer is to get involved. That can be the best way to get to know people. I’m involved in a lot on campus, and it’s actually made me want to work in the higher ed space after college. My time at Hofstra has really helped me figure out the path I want to be on."
