The term 'Pride' has two meanings. One is a feeling or sense of pride, and the other is a group of people that you connect with. In other words, a family. Here at Hofstra we have a variety of Prides - student organizations, athletic teams, pre-professional organizations and more that students can get involved in.
A Day in the Pride is a social media campaign where the Hofstra community documents the everyday and extraordinary things that happen during a single, 24-hour period for members of the Pride. The video above is a recap of A Day in the Pride 2015.
Another way in which we celebrate the many Prides that make up the Hofstra community is My Pride Monday. This is a social media campaign where members of the Hofstra community showcase what they are up to with their Prides on social media every Monday.
Remember: we may have many Prides, but at the end of the day, we all belong to one Pride - the Hofstra Pride!
