Welcome to Hofstra!

Whether walking to class or sitting outside with friends, Hofstra University's 240-acre campus is a sight to be seen. A registered arboretum, Hofstra’s campus features a wide variety of plant life, including exotic flowers and trees.

Fred Soviero, director of Hofstra's grounds and arboretum, was recently presented with the 2016 President’s Award from the New York State Arborists (NYSA) for his years of dedicated volunteer service to the arboriculture industry - a well-deserved honor for Fred!
